Hi guys,  I did not watch the Obama drama last night.  My son and I went to an Irish pub, had a couple of beers and watched the Caps hockey game, even though we are not big hockey fans.  I knew my husband would be at home screaming at the TV and I knew he would give me the rundown when I got home.  Sounded like vintage Barry to me.  Same old, same old.

On Obama and the sotu: Trust is something earned, easily lost, but can be gained back.   Obama's speech last night did nothing to start the process of gaining my trust that he is truely interested in real change to help Americans. Just more of the same...same agenda and same distortion of the truth.

odds and ends:  1) his comments on the Supreme Court were outragious 2) how many times did he use "I" in his speech??

Some clever radio hosts should take highlights of that appalling State of the Union speech and apply a TV sitcom laugh track to it, in which people are screaming with laughter every time he says something that is untrue.

I’m calling it the state of the onion speech, because, if you peel each of the layers off, you may find a kernel of truth in the heart ….

Apprapos of your current discussion, did you notice that when Attorney General Eric Holder entered the chamber, Chief Justice Roberts turned to shake his hand, and Holder quickly turned away and moved off to the left--- Holder seemed to be snubbing Roberts.

The one time Obama should have used "I" instead of "We" is when he said We need to stop campaigning and get down to business.

Once again Obama being Obama, speaking at the American people not to them.  Obama should be so proud of himself he is the only President to insult the Supreme Court, with the court sitting on the front row!  His statement about their recent decision was totally out of line, what was more embarrassing was the Dems. clapping.

Grandy and Andy are perfect examples of why the Fairness Doctrine should be brought back to media. Their explanation of student loans @ 10% per year payback was stunning in its idiocy! Take your example of the Harvard graduate with the $200k loan. Let's say he gets a job @ $50k and over 20 years trebles his income for an average of $100 for the 20 years (pretty conservative for a Harvard grad). Guess what, math flunkies, he's paid back $200k!
How can you be so duplicitous?
Also, with regard to the recent Supreme Court ruling…why did you not mention former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's speech at Georgetown University at which she severly criticized the same ruling.

State of the Union - Believe it or not, certainly that will be a topic of discussion this morning. Had this speech been made before his first year I would have, as an independent conservative, said "well now, let's see what this guy can do". However, having gone through the first year of him saying one thing, yet doing, or supporting, another, I am skeptical. Of note is his insistence that we needed to pile up so much dept to save ourselves, well we need to audit the FED and with it AIG and possibly congress to really know what happened, and that includes the policies and meetings between them that led up to the "crisis". No, I heard him last night, but I'm skeptical.
